ADRIANA HIDALGO

Hello!

I am an aspiring Landscape Architect with a passion for cultural landscapes rooted in horticultural and social stratification. I am currently pursuing education, experience, and exposure in diverse landscapes in an effort to uncover the contextual meaning behind spaces that serve complex communities. Ultimately, I aim to use context found within the landscape to create meaningful spaces that not only provide for a culture, but also sustain them.

My personal cultural heritage and experience abroad has lead to a strong interest in international landscapes. The ability to learn about a society through geographically based practices, exemplified within the landscape, offers a multiverse of opportunities for design and discourse. I believe that landscapes can be activated and strengthened not just through design but through cultural influence and integration across generations.

Moving forward, I am seeking professional experience in diverse landscapes. Whether they are international or local, the opportunity to understand people and their surrounding environment excites me. My individual commitment as a future landscape architect is within the power of cultivating culture through people, plants, and place.
